Nice to see Mark McNulty get keeper of the year for the first division, most on here (including me) gave it to Sava.

No major surprises, although a talking point would be that Shamrock Rovers only have 3 of the starting 11 in the premier team.

Would have thought one of our centre halves should have been picked ahead of Greacen

Don't really think so.
Greacen is excellent from what i've seen of him. Seems he had a great season.

But ye had the best defensive record in the league surely that means Peers and McGuiness were fairly good too.

Flabbergasted that Philly Hughes hasn't been nominated for player of the year in our division. Think Casso will take it home though so not to worry. Lorcan Fitzgerald a questionable choice from us.

In fairness its ridiculous to see Stephen Bradley, Daryl Kavanagh & Mark Quigley on that list. None of them achieved anything of note on the pitch this season!

While its widely known that Doyle used to attend some games, he was never listed in the match programme as having an official role at the club unlike a certain other LOI ref who was heavily involved at a certain other LOI club!

Quigley has been fantastic this season, well deserved.

And Stokes shouldn't have been allowed ref Pats games either. No question about that

Bradley's been terrific for us this year, Fully deserves any recognition he gets. On his own in midfield for most of the season, he played above the team most weeks. Kavanagh had some unbelievable performances but some poor ones too. When he's good he certainly catches the eye sp presume thats why he got nominated

No doubt Rovers have best overall team, but no real stars (Twigg is, but he hasn't been right all season) mean they don't really get picked for these type of things. I'm sure they're heartbroken

Yeah to be fair even when Dundalk had seemingly given up playing Quigley was still scoring goals. Absolute quality player when his head is right.

I was thinking about this a few days ago when thinking of my PotY that no-one from Rovers really stood out - they were an excellent team though. Stephen Rice seemed to have a very good season and surprised his name doesn't appear on the list.

I think Daniel Lafferty should get YPotY but as Enda Stevens is in the Team of the Year in his position it looks pretty unlikely.

As for Division 1 has Ryan Brennan not been Mons best player this season? He looked their best player in the 2 legs against us.

Hard to argue with that... great guy to get a goal.. despite appearing to be overweight, and pushing on a bit.

JC, Ryan, Sean, Sava, Collins, Keegan and Alan Byrne would all have a shout for it tbh.

no real suprises, Zayed top scorer and Stevens got a move to premier league team so give them the awards. plently of contenders for the POTY but goalscorer always has the higher profile regardless of playing well. would have put conor mccormack ahead of stevens myself
