Did anyone hear that they had to cancel one of the races on Monday before the halfway point was reached due to poor organisation and layout of the course. So a lot of the yachts turned their engines off and started tacking back in (basically took the foot off the pedal, some of them were trying to turn around etc.) and two minutes later the organisers restarted the same races from their positions.

Man, that is so crap. Apparently the cost is after getting unbelievable, had been circa €/£150 a few years back per boat with the amount of crew onboard not effecting the price (because of the handicap system that they use (ISB??), crew number didn't matter) but this year it is €850 with ten or less crew, but they are still using the same system.

A lot of people are sleeping on their yachts as the houses are a totally rip off (one council house in the town was rented out for €2000 for the week, there was a lot of mistruths told on the phone to get the booking) and they are going out in town to avoid the expense aswell. All this from the yachting crowd. As the song goes ..... they'll tolerate absolutely nobody acting the langér
