It has been confirmed today that TV3 are to broadcast live the game between Cork City and Shelbourne at Turner's Cross. The game will be played on Saturday August 14th with a 5pm kick off.
TV3's coverage will start at 4:55 and will mark their first live broadcast in the eircom League this season.
The game should have a huge bearing on the destination of the eircom League title. Shels are currently ten points clear at the top, fourteen clear of Cork, although thanks to City's European run they have three games in hand on the table toppers.
The last meeting between the two finished 2-2 at Tolka Park, a late Thomas Morgan goal denying City victory.
Director of Programming for TV3 Matthew Salway said:
"We are delighted with the ongoing association with eircom League and the opportunity to continue providing viewers with exciting live football coverage".
While the eircom League's Marketing Manager Aidan Doyle said:
"TV 3 are great supporters of the eircom League and we're delighted that they are travelling to Cork to cover this exciting fixture. Both clubs
are in top form at present and this game will serve as a valuable showcase for the League in terms of the quality of soccer available this summer at eircom League grounds throughout the country".

You never know!

If we get a good result in the away leg someone might show it live. Kick off at Saturday 7pm wouldn't clash with any other televised sport

RTE can't show it as they would have to cut short their post match analysis of the live Carlow Under 12 C Camoige championship 1st round game by 45 minutes. :( :(
