Which pub is everyone watchin the away leg in?
Think everyone should try to watch it in the same pub for a bit of atmosphere like!
Any suggestions??

(providing they allow in youngsters from 5pm?)
U18's are allowed in pubs before 9pm!
As long as they are accompanied by an adult.
What time is the game? Quad sounds like a good bet.
I think most of us are planning on watching the game in the Beaujoire stadium in Nantes.

A dutch boy just posted on Citynet that the game will be shown live in O'Shea's irish bar in Nijmegen, there's a bunch of NEC boys going to cheer us on :D .
You should have a look at their forum too, they fell in love with us, a few of them have Dolan as their avatar and one has the chorus of a certain cork song as his sig. ;)
They've promised us support if we get through to play Roda in the semis :D
Coming down to Cork on Sunday to see the match on TV. Has anybody got a list of pubs that are showing the match?
And, which one would be the best for atmosphere to watch it in?

friars walk tavern would be a good spot
There is already a nice long thread on this topic.
can we start deciding on a final location for watching the match so?
the quad does have the match, and has a big screen and is in a central location so i would consider this the best option....
what do ye think?

Do ye think the Friars Walk will have the best amosphere so?
Are the Horse Shoe showin it?
where's friars walk (up barrack st a bit and left is it?)
does it have a big screen?
Friar Walk Tavern is a crap hole.
I reckon the QUAD is the best option (apart from being there of course ;) ). What time is KO???

Friars Walk Tav is in Friars Walk! ;) Jst around the corner from Deerpark School.
Its a Celtic pub but apparently there's always a good atmosphere for matches in there.
Not sure bout the quad to be honest

Ya but the Quad will be dead at 5pm on a Sunday afternoon whereas the Friars Walk is apparently always busy on sundays.
Ive only been there once but been askin a few friends bout it
Fair point, BUT, the FWT is the type of place where families go, therefore kids running around everywhere.
Secondly, someone mentioned its a "Celtic" pub. Im sure I would love to watch a game with a load of fellas who dont even know what it is like to be in football ground (being careful not to say barstoolers!)
If the quad has even 20 City fans in there, it'll be good IMO.

U mite be rite bout kids runnin around alrite.
For some reason i dont think the quad will be great. Local pubs are always better for matches imo.
Are any of the pubs near the Cross showin it?

Threads merged. Please look before you start a new thread, the City forum is cluttered enough at the moment for some weird reason. :)
The Quad eh? That's a whole four minutes away from me... hmmm....

The Quad Seems To Be Best Option Me Mate Was A Local In Friars Walk And He Says He Never Once Met A City Supporter There Where As Quad Managed By Damien A Lifelong City Supporter. Its There For Me Big Screen And All It Only Needs 50 People To Make An Atmosphere.
Chalk it down.
Quad for me too me thinks.

The Quad is a great place to watch football..lots of screens and there is usually a very good atmosphere for matches. IMO a very good spot to catch the match.....

atho Damien doesnt manage there anymore, it is still one of the few City friendly pubs in town, as in there's never any bother walking in there with a city jersey even at night...

exactly a city friendly pub in town is rare enough, never any hassle getting in with a rebel army jersey on

There Are About 15 Of Us Going In But I Think It Dont Open Til 4pm Just In Case People Wanted Go Early.
i propose we meet for the match so in The Quad on Tuckey st. at or before 5pm Sunday, as it seems the easiest place to go for most.
(just to decide it now, as friday is the last day for some readers who use the internet in work but not at home before the weekend.)
this agreed?
it doesnt matter what a place is like... the quad is great for matches, but having it full of city fans guarantees a good buzz.
see ye all there i suppose.
