I would think that everyone will get sorted with the allocation of 1,400 tickets. Anyone disagree?

Depends on whether Estonia return any tickets - their biggest crowd was 9000 during qualifying, which would leave 1300 empty seats, or 3000 if the reports of adding extra capacity is true. Even allowing for this being Estonia's biggest game ever, I think that'd just about satisfy everyone.

From what I can read on the Estonian website it looks like they will sell tickets on Monday from 10AM, it looks like they are being sold at the stadium rather than online. And there is a line in there about no away fans allowed in the home end (but it's unclear if that's for the game in Tallinn or Dublin)

I'd be in the market for two, but I haven't been to any of the previous games, so put me at the bottom of the list

I'm confident of getting sorted because we've been to Zilina and Skopje. But i'll put my name down for 2 beacause 8 of us travelling.

I've put you down for 2 and 1, cos 2 is the max. If the other lads want to register on the site and post, that's doable. Ditto brendy_éire.
Have you tried going through UCD though? Dick or Sherro should be able to sort something.

This is sold out on Abbey Travel, and it seems from the home side. Anyone got any definite plans for getting tickets for this?

It looks like the Estonians are trying to clamp down on ticket touts, one guy went into a shop and brought 150 tickets!!!
pineapple stu

Could help us. 194 people reported at, say, an average of ten tickets a pop is 2,000 tickets which may be reclaimed and resold so. Seeing how quickly it sold out, they may still sell out to Estonians, but maybe there'll be a few left over for us.

Ah stick me down for 2 as well. I wasnt gonna bother but I am hoping that many fans have applied for 2's when travelling in a Group and will as a result have spares if a few in the same group get lucky. I think we should all be ok in end.
Doubt I'll get lucky in the lottery so can you put my name down for 2 if they become available, cheers!

rewarding fans who travel is good but why was this campaign the sole decider? it seems from what i read on other forums that fans who have travelled many times over the years have suddenly been cast aside because they couldnt attend too many away days this campaign. bit unfair really

There were 6,500 requests for 1,400 tickets, in other words 4½ people applied for each available ticket. The stadium is either 9,600 or 10,300 (depending on adding extra seats), so even if the Estonians had given us 60% of the seats (which would never have happened) there would still be applicants without tickets.
I think the best best is hoping that some locals have "spares" so to speak.

id say about 1,500 - 2,000 actually want to go and many of those applicants were multiple ones by the same person.
on ybig people are saying they were successful in their application even though they never applied in the first place!!

Ah, well if that's the case it's better news, there might be some spares in our end available then.

Heard about the multiple applications thing too but our spares seem v.thin on the ground.
The eejit who bought 150 tickets for their end ran an Irish pub there, made a big noise about this and was forced to return them.
The best hope could now be locals on the make...in which case, no colours and a lot of bluffing.

Yeah, you were just asked for an e-mail address and whether you wanted one or two tickets. After that, it in theory just depended on how many friends' e-mails you were prepared to use. I know myself and a mate are heading over, so I applied for two from both our e-mails just to raise our chances. I'm sure many others did similar.

Looking like these tickets are going to be thin on the ground. Could be looking at close to €100 a ticket off the scalpers over there.
pineapple stu
01/11/2011, 7:05 PM
Yeah, they're on the internet for E195 anyway.
prince20 - I got an e-mail saying my application was unsuccessful as all our tickets went to those who'd been to an away game this campaign.
ArdeeBhoy
01/11/2011, 9:13 PM
Don't know what the face value is for them, €19 is it, so reckon they'll start at a €100 but the price could well drop depending on how many are out there.
But my advice is no colours, keep quiet and be prepared to bluff it.
Maybe a Scottish tourist...

Which is fair enough, if the FAI are indeed using logic.
Have my doubts though about those going to Abbey Travel (et al), via the FAI Council and the like...

Well, theres 7 of us travelling. All of us season ticket holders and 3 aways attended, although only Zilina and Skopje on record with FAI.
We have no tickets, no correspondence from FAI - emails ignored and fobbed off on the phone last week.
I knew this would be a disaster once they said those who had attended aways would be contacted re tickets, yet they set up an online portal for everyone else to register interest. A complete waste of time.
All of their energy should have been focused on gaugeing how many previous away attendees were travelling and sorting out as many of those as possible.
There's no way this has happened because there are too many regulars ticketless and predicted travelling numbers have been grossly inflated. I'd imagine circa 2,000 have booked this trip.

That's wrong.
As only did one away this time for various reasons. But did get myself a golden ticket. Sorry you were treated so poorly.
