Will this sport ever take off in Ireland? If you look at the history of the game, it's surprising in some respects that it never really grew more in this country.
AIL rugby seems to be dying a death. Provincial rugby is growing but there's only so many players that will make a break through. Would there be scope for the growth of the game in the main cities?
Competition for another sports will be fierce with soccer, hurling, football and rugby union well established in areas. Still though, we are a sporting nation and we love out sports. I've heard from lads gone over to Oz the buzz around rugby league and the crowds it brings. While I could never see league enjoying a status of other sports, there is scope for it to be brought on a lot of levels throughout the country.
