All going to plan Im heading over on Saturday from Dublin to Paris, If I can organise getting there at the same time as others, I will rent a car. Collect a car for 5 people at Beauvais on the Saturday and returning it on the Monday will be 98 yo yos, so about 20 quid a skull plus Petrol. The feeder bus from the airport will cost you that alone plus 50 quid to get the train to Nantes. Probably book my flights tonight, looks like I will be in Paris about 13:00 and leaving at 18:15 on the Monday. Its about a 4 hour drive.
Anyone interested?
The flight is about €230 from Dublin to Beauvais, but seems to change price everytime I go back to the sight.

a few of us have booked shannon to paris on saturday and back on the monday...we get there at 13:20 on the saturday but are leaving at 14:00 on teh monday so that would be a bit early for you...I'm sure there will be more people booking from dublin...hopefully we can all pool together and get a few cars going on the saturday and have the right numbers going back on the monday for the different flight.......

I'll be travelling from Dublin to Paris Beauvais on the Saturday morning too on the flight which lands around the same time as the lads, think it lands at 12.50 or something like that.

Thing is the 18.15 flight back on the Monday would be too late back for me as the lad travelling with me still has to catch a train back to Cork when we get back to Dublin.

If you decide to fly back earlier on the Monday Wicklow Rebel give me a shout and we'll def be up for the car hiring

I'm booked on Shannon-Paris flight, same as Northofthelee, going Saturday morning and coming back Monday.
Hopefully between the lot of us arriving in Paris Saturday lunchtime we'll be able to hire a couple of cars.

Corner, glad to hear you'll be doing a bit of local research for us on the friday! We're thinking of the Ibis aswell, either that or some other reasonably priced hotel.

Alright Eric, Im only booking my flights today so can go back earlier, only thing is I got a PM and have agreed to take three, so there is only one space left. As you said though we can do a car pool and get everyone sorted, If people are stuck we could look into getting a bigger car, one of those people carriers that take seven or something.

Wicklow Rebel as far as I know there are a good lot of us landing there around the same time so we should be able to sort everyone out in a car.

Think I'm booked into a car with some of the lads anyway, isn't that right NOTL????????

Looking like people are gonna opt fot the Ibis hotel in Nantes.

It did the job for us in Malmo so no reason not to go there, plus the corner is already booked in there so we might as well all stick together

I've just booked my flights. Heading from Shannon to Paris on Thursday. Coming back from Paris to Dublin next Tuesday. E145 in total. All thanks to Ryanair & Mr. O'Leary, probably the unofficial airline of City fans everywhere. Now all I have to do is get the train to Nantes.

Anybody coming back through Dublin & getting a train to Cork, I think there's a special deal for the summer with IARNRÓD ÉIREANN. E10 daily return ticket from Dublin to anywhere in the country. A lot cheaper than a single from Dublin to Cork. Check it out.

Eric

Colm
13/07/2004, 1:06 PM
Lads, the one in the City Centre sounds like the job. I'm sure it's fairly simple to change your booking from one Ibis to another Ibis....
If ye can change your booking we'll all book into the City Centre one, if ye can't we'll all book into the stadium one. Whatever happens anyway, it's best to have most of the Rebel Army in the one hotel a la Malmo.

NOTL

Which one are you staying in?

none yet but this one (http://www.ibishotel.com/ibis/fichehotel/gb/ibi/0892/fiche_hotel.shtml) looks the job....being too far from teh center is a balls cause you get lazy and just hang around the hotel bar all day ..

City Hero
13/07/2004, 5:26 PM
Ibis Nantes Gare Sud is the best option.

It's in the City centre, 300m from the train station, you'll only go to the stadium once or twice over the weekend, and if it does fill up, theres a Mercure hotel even closer to the train station for pretty much the same price.

And apparently, one of the tram routes in the city goes from the centre right past the stadium.

I haven't booked yet, but I know where I'm staying.

Pablo
13/07/2004, 5:59 PM
Yeah Defo Stadium

paudie
13/07/2004, 6:06 PM

We've not booked yet. I still think the City Centre one is the better option but if none of ye want to change then I'll happily stay in the Stadium one. The Rebel Army have to stick together.
