I was wondering what the story is with Conneely since going to Sheffield United ? I thought he was a very accomplished player in a poor Galway United side.

Played full game with Sheffield Utd reserves in a 3-1 win against Burton Albion at weekend. Has been on the Bench in the Carling cup for the 1st team. Making decent progress under Danny Wilson

The United sides he was in weren't that poor by the way!

The likes of Stevie O'Donnell, Karl Sheppard and Jamie McKenzie were in the last one. He was also in the one with Jay O'Shea, John Russell, Alan Keane and Vinny Faherty.

Foster was between them..

Had a not top quality, but decent team that year and just about avoided relegation..

Yes Foster was, but not in relation to the teams named above - the O'Donnell, McKenzie and Sheppard side were managed by Connor; the Russell, Keane, Faherty and O'Shea side were managed by Kenna, nothing to do with Foster as manager. One of the main reasons ye got Keane was Foster didn't rate him. Yes, you read that correctly.
