I dont think everyone will agree with me but I would like to congraulate Stephen Kenny on winning his eighth trophy tonight. He got rewarded for staying with Derry when they got relegated and the sligo fans wont like me for sayin it I think the momentum is with Derry and they will go from strength to strength and win the Premier league.

Congrats to Derry I guess, not too bothered about who wins the league cup to be honest. I think Sligo will win the league personally they've hit form at just the right time I think. Anyhow that's for another forum!

In fairness, he did help build a connection between the fans and the team, although I think a lot of that was circumstances too. However, I do think there's a lot of rose tinted glasses on when it comes to the position he left us in - ignoring the contract situation, he spent a good bit of money and walked out with us in relegation trouble.

thats a very good point macy.. if he had stayed I would think that we have won the playoff too as I got the impression under Lawlor that i t was the players that really didnt need any motivating.
