For those of ye who can afford another european trip, I was in Nantes at the start of June and said I'd throw in my experiance. I decided to go Ryanair from Dublin to Paris Beauvais and train it then. Firstly, Beauvais is not in Paris, it's an hour and a half away. And secondly, franch train drivers like to strike. A lot! It's E20 to get to Paris and E126 return from Paris to Nantes on the TGV.
One of my friends flew Gatwick-Nantes with British Airways and it was a much better option. He got his flights for about E70 return but he booked well in advance. I would suggest this option. Enjoy.
