edit - just hearing that the site is down. Thats it over before it started anyway!

It's a disaster. They'll probably have to void the first round or something, unless you were already logged in early yesterday it's impossible to get onto the site. It's shocking that a game that's so popular would have a catastrophe like this.

the login issues were resolved on saturday morning, but too late to make any last minute changes
whatever makeover EA Sports (their new gaming partners) have done to improve the visuals of the site have been wiped out by the sheer unusability of it now.
Golden rule - if it's not broken, don't fix it.

No bonus points doled out either as yet. Suppose if they are going to void week 1, there's not really much point.

Apparently there's a new bonus points system this year, one of the lads was saying there's a meeting of sorts today and the bonus points are then distributed.

Has there been anything to suggest that they will void the first week? I think they should but I haven't seen anything to suggest they will.

Will the Foot.ie league be discarding gameweek 1 then as the option to just count scores from gameweek 2 onward has now been provided by FPL? I'm in another league we're doing for money and I'm stunned that the consensus seems to be to let everyone use the wildcard and to keep on playing with gameweek 1 scores counting.

Seeing as I have the power and I was moaning about the first week being discounted I think it would be a bit unfair if I didn't take the option to discount it. Despite the fact I ended up having a pretty good week myself, which I wasn't counting on!

I went for Drogba because Chelsea have so many easy games early on. Drogba has to play at some point! Suarez and Aguero do look tempting.
