Don't know much about them, they play in the first division or championship 1 as its known and are from a Fermanagh village they had a decent run in the cup last season but Portadown put them out IIRC. Why the interest in Ballinamallard if you don't mind me asking?

With their current meteoric rise to the top of the Irish League, thought I'd revive this thread - how long have they been involved in the Irish League pyramid, what are their home attendances like, do they enjoy cross-community support? Any info would be welcome.

They have a good few ex-LOI players on their books, most notably:
Alvin Rouse
Jason McCartney
Danny Keohane
Conor O'Grady
Steve Feeney
Liam Martin (currently on loan from Sligo)
Gary Curran played with them last season but doesn't seem to be there now.

I didnt know that Conor O'Grady is with them and had no idea that ex town player Gary curran is no longer with them.

Standard must be shocking up there.
Rouse was never any more than a novelty act and McCartney was notable for doing nothing when on loan at Limerick. (was a good few years ago tbf.)

Rouse is the worlds slowest man :D I think he actually sprints in slow motion.

plus Danny Keohane was with our youth team in the past and was an intermediate player at best up here. He's now starting at left back week in week out for them.
Some average enough players but they're flying up there at the min.

They seem to have a very good manager making the most of what is a limited squad.
I still standby they will not make the top 6.
The top 6 last season will most likely be this seasons top 6, Linfield, Glentoran, Crusaders, Cliftonville, Portadown and Coleraine. Ballymena and Ballinamallard will challenge though.
The standard is shockingly bad but if you think the LOI is massively better then you are highly deluded, I'm afraid.
