Eamon Zayed netted twice as Bray came from a goal down to maintain their promotion push against Kilkenny City.

It appeared as if the first half would end goalless before Kilkenny shocked the home faithful with a goal 90 seconds before the referee’s whistle for the break. Gareth Cooney managed to get the ball past Chris O’Connor for a sloppy goal.

Pat Devlin must have had a few harsh words with his team at the break because they came out inspired and it took just five minutes of the second half for the sides to be on level terms.

The first Bray goal had a degree of good fortune as a Kilkenny clearance rebounded off Zayed and flew to the net. Just a minute later Zayed crossed for Niall Andrews to put Bray ahead before the star of the show, Zayed, hit a third Bray goal on 71 minutes.
