The deal applies to 2nd class only.
The Zomertoer Plus option gives you full use of other forms of public transport (bus, tram and subway), as well as the train.

Plan is to Rent a car in Brussels (€93 for the weekend) and drive to Nijmegen on the Saturday morning (about 2.5 to 3 hours). Drive back to Brussels on the Sunday and stay overnight before the early flight home.

If anybody likes the look of this itenerary and fancies splitting rental and petrol costs (€50-60) to keep it cheap ;) pm me and we'll sort it.

Travel from and back to Charleroi should only be €30 if we can get five in the car, so that'd be you in Nijmegen for about €120, cheapest so far :D

The Monday doesn't suit me at the moment.
Have you considered hotels?
Can't remember what kind of hotels were in Nijmegen.
We stayed in Amsterdam and got the train back.

There's a flight back on the Sunday night. We'll be coming back to Brussels anyway so you should make it easily, but it's expensive (€90)

There's a flight back on the Sunday night.

I'm moving back to England in the coming weeks, just waiting for a few things to be finalised. If nothing happens in the next few days then I should be able to get the Monday off.

Is this one you've organised yourselves, or a 'intercity' service.
Any ideas about price and the return journey.

I'm thinking of heading over from London.

Anyone else here I recommend: http://www.amsterdamexpress.co.uk

You get a train to and from Ports on both ends. So far as I can see you can go all the way to Nijmegen for 68poundsterling if you are under 25

Will there be some match tickets issued to City or do you just get them at the ground in the Netherlands?

Charleroi to Nijmegen is 150 miles which according to AA Route Planner (http://www.theaa.com/travelwatch/planner_main.jsp) it should take 2 hours and 20 mins which seems a bit quick, (more like 3 hours)

I've provisionally booked into a hotel in Nijmegen, have to ring them up to confirm it tomorrow. It's the 'Mercure Hotel Nijmegen Centre'. It's right in the middle of Nijmegen and beside the train station. It might be a bit more expensive than some of the other places there but seems the handier option. It's E107 for a twin room for the night

Look's like I might be cutting it tight getting time off work, couple of the lads off already, fingers crossed!!!! :(

For anyone travelling from or through London Stansted, both Ryanair and Air Berlin fly to Dusseldorf-Niederrhein (Voerde) in Germany which is just 60 miles from Nijmegen.

Prices seem expensive already (70-100 sterling each way), but it is very close compared to other options.

Ryanair also fly to Eindhoven which is 50 miles away.

Car hire from Charleroi for 3 days is between 80 & 140 euro depending on the car type. All you need is a full driving licence.
