Seems ive started a bit of a debate bout johnny c but as crazy as it sounds i have to agree with shetland that he is going to be a top top player,my point the other day was that not just him from that glen team if they keep their heads down will make names for themselves!

we wont start naming people now bluey, its not right to be bringing names into this forum. id say we can all guess who half the people on this forum are, but the purpose of the nic name is to keep their idenity hidden. I presume you are using a millipore e-mail address to say you are a member of this site?

FAI 4th Round Cup Draw:
Glen Celtic v Carrigtwohill United.
Innishvilla v Kilumney United.
Knockavilla Celtic v Coachford F.C.
Mayfield United v Marlboro Trust or Springfield.
Tramore Athletic v Midleton F.C.
Fairview F.C. v College Corinthians.
Kinsale F.C. v Glasheen F.C.
Away draw for ourselves against one of our bogey teams, if we get in the open draw we ll have earned it. Some good games in there.

Interesting draw, kinsale going strong on all fronts again sfter being doubted early on my self included! How do people see the league shaping out? Early days but gonna be the tightest in years i feel, think relegation is wide open aswell! Be tough to predict two at the moment!

No offence zohan but how can we realistically talk about predictions when Kinsale haven't even played one league game (in November)!! Thats like trying to predict the winners/relegation spots in the premiership in august, complete guesswork.
Thats why there called predictions? We shud have a fair grasp of the squads and teams, they have played a lot of cup games! Its easy to predict something in feburary or march when teams are doing well and winning games or badly and losing games

Greenwood also! Springfield, pearse celtic are doing well also, fancy kinsale, if park get some good home draws, were unlucky a few years back against kinsale in final

WiltOn for the league Park for AOH and macroom to go down along with Knockavilla

I ll stick my neck out and say there s 2 hopes of Knockavilla going down, Bob and No Hope. Lads, seriously this is a team who won the Aoh a few seasons ago and are unbeaten after 3 games, half the battle is getting a good start. Very tough team to get a result against. I think Macroom will find it hard, how do you replace a player who scores all your goals. The second relegation spot is open country. Blarney Street have changed manager so im led to believe, so that will probably get a good reaction, can t see them involved either to be honest.
Think its going to be a tight league. As i always say whoever finishes above Kinsale will win the league, can't see anything to make me change my mind there so far, but its very early, (its only a few weeks until players will be able to move again and this will have a big outcome im sure for alot of teams) for what its worth fancy Park to do very well this season. Mitchelstown seem to be winning everything from Golf to Gaa, success breeds success!

Interesting that somehow Kinsale have scored 29 and conceeded 1 in last three league games...
Talk about talking up the opposition no league games played the three games in question were total Cup mismatches as Shilts has previously pointed out...

Heard that rumour alright inswinger bout blarney St but from what I can gather the manager hasn't changed just brought in 2 very experienced fellas to lend a hand, so they now have a serious backroom team from what I hear and according to some of there players the commitment at training after there hammering was unbelievable! I'd hate to be playing them this week that's all I can say..
Had that Alan O Connell last week against Gratton. A total and utter disgrace.... Now i do respect referees and i think they get a lot of abuse and wonder why they come out every weekend but this fella is a joke. 1 red and must of been at least ten yellows and it was a clean fair game. I dont want to reopen the discussion about him just warning the rest of you. He'd struggle doing an under 10 game. There was an accessor at the game and the ref was getting ''spoken to'' after the game, in front of all of us.Lads, you wont experience this until you have him.

Stick your neck out all you want.. Was at the knockavilla Leeside "B" game in the munster last month and knockavilla struggled Bigtime. Leeside deserved to win that game and they are a 1st division team. So wouldn't be surprised if they went down. Would think Blarney St will prob go aswell, don't look strong no matter who in charge.... Macroom will struggle aswell but wil survive. Suppose can't look passed Kinsale for the league. Aoh is wide open to be honest. Mossie, who ever wins Wilton, Leeside game Sunday will win it.. Wilton look very strong especially with sharpshooter:) there did year aswell...

Would n't judge any team over one game lawd and a first division team would give most premier teams a run for their money in a one off cup game. After all Douglas Hall beat Leeside in a cup match earlier this season and Leeside are no bad team, but your entitled to your opinion. Knockavilla have nt lost a game yet i think im right in saying. They play Greenwood on Sunday in the league a win there and thats a great start.
I see no match for us next week end, disapointing. Kinsale are down to play the same day as the Cork Aul is that a mistake?
Leeside Afc AGM due to be held tomorrow has been cancelled and will now take place on monday 21st 7.30 in Little Island Sports Centre.

Total agree with yah inswinger. Just thought myself that they didn't look like a premier side ... I wouldn't write off any team yet awhile, as you said there only 3 games played. Yes Hall beat Leeside 2-1. Leeside missing 6 that night. That's what I heard anyway. Missing players or not, as you said yourself, cup games anything van happen!!
Looking forward to go watch Wilton and Leeside now Sunday morning. Should be a good game

I wouln't watch much junior soccer but went to see Leeside and Midleton last week in the fai cup and I was astounded how bad Leeside were I'm told they are one of the better teams in the aul there fitness passing and technique was absolutely awfull please tell me this was an off day and junior soccer in cork hasnt hit an all time low.

Goggs, Just remember that the majority of the squad that were involved in the shambles down in Midleton were on the Munster Junior Cup Winning panel of 2008. It was a nightmare performance and won't try to defend it

Watched Kinsale v Killarney Celtic out in Turners Cross tonight. Killarney beat them on penalties after 1-1 draw. Thought Kinsale were a little unlucky, probably created more clear cut chances than Killarney overall but it was a fairly scrappy game all around.
Also in the shootout, the Kinsale keeper saved a penalty but was judged to have come off his line which he probably did to be fair but a retake was given and the Killarney player scored the second. The very next penalty, the Killarney keeper saved in pretty much the exact same way the Kinsale keeper did previously but no retake was given so I think Kinsale can feel a little hard done by after that.

How would you expect the junior football to be anything else when all the top players are playing in the MSL,some fellas on this saying the top MSL sides would strugle in the AUL premier and the top AUL teams would hold their own in the MSL premier, seriously what are some of you smoking?

Mid-bottom table in the 1st division MSL and little chance of promotion!

i would think el nino that kinsale at their best, and leeside wilton ,would survive in munster senior league premier, they woud definately beat any of the two teams that are at bottom of msl premier now,and who are odds on for relegation again even at this early stage.

I wudnt think any of the teams above would get out of the 1st division let alone be given the chance to see can they survive in the premier!

So based on your point above and your earlier post where you said mid to bottom in the first division then your logic would suggest any of the top 5 or 6 sides in the first divsion would win the AUL premier. Could you tell us who the current top 6 in the 1st division is?
Just curious to get a direct comparison of the teams involved

el nino your hopping from the aul site to the senior league site every second ,make your mind up ,or wake up more like.i dont normally agree with sharpshooter but his wilton and the other two i mentioned would hold their own with a lot of they bottom half off the msl premier. look its rockmount and avondale and maybe douglas hall.,but the corrinthians team and the leeds sides near the bottom would not have it easy against any of the aul sides.you said bandon would beat any of them ,sur they are made up of a lot of former aul players ex kinsale etc..

Would rank Springfield and Killumney too. Park when GAA not on will do well & Blarney St on paper
I dont know who you are or what you have done football wise in Cork but name your medals and honours, because i for one am sick to death of you and others putting down the AUL ,OSCAR TRAYNOR TEAM without even knowing if ye can cross ye're legs. jez berba who rattled your cage ,if i am one of those you are on about ive no problem ellaborateing,i played on the cork aul team ,about 29 years ago ,also with munster as a right back ,as a player won an fai junior medal cork area final beating mallow in final .as a manager won the old first division league aul .playing 22 games winning 18 and drawing four in 1986.an unbeaten league season. as an assistant manager won the mossie linane cup 3 years ago.hope that qualifys me to pass some jugement berba.ps sorry just saw who you were aiming it at there.
Wilton played Ucc in the Mardyke earlier this season and matched them very well, probably should have won, i think wilton, kinsale and leeside, maybe Killumny would have the ability to compete with senior league 1 teams. i think we ll all agree that a league with ucc, bandon, fermoy, carragaline and castleview with top 5 aul teams would make a far more interseting league than the present aul premier and the present senior league 1.
