The game with Harps on Saturday July 9 has been brought forward to a 15:30 kick off, which is, I presume, to avoid a clash with Longford v Tyrone in Pearse Park.

Cracking game, good goals, good fun. Funny how the Harps players started falling around the place and their goalie was finally beaten with a powder puff shot (was a bit much to expect three camera saves)!

Robbed us again. Never a penalty. LOI refs are a joke.

Good game tbf, that Don Cowan boy was a handful.

McHugh's goal was better though.

The referee had a good game for once and it was a penalty all day long it was a stupid tackle the town man was going out of the box but that's not our fault it was a peno get over it town wins again

But ye great game great goals and don cowan has to be one of the best town players I've ever seen he's too good for this league.

Clear Penalty, the Harps player took the legs from under him and he was going away from goal.. :)

Exactly, def a peno. That game had everything - loads of good goals, finger tip saves, sending offs, end to end action.
Thought the ref was actually very good - compared to the last one at the cup game who was a joke.

Little if any contact regards the penalty. He definitely made the most of it.

Harps always have an excuse, the stats dont lie , LTFC played 4, won 3, drawn 1 VS Harps

LTFC scored 6, conceded 3 VS Harps

Longford Town > Finn Harps

its nice for a change that we got a penalty decision as we normally give away loads of penalties.. mark salmon is turnin into a bit of a class act now.. hes second top scorer with five goals and don cowan has now got eight.. I think salmo is a good outside bet for player of the season if he keeps it up!

His second goal was a joy to see. Credit also to the Longford keeper, that finger tip save around the bar was awesome

an outside bet marty? i think he should be a shoe in for player of the year, he is what makes us tick, in every game, he is our best player this year, and thats not taking anything away from don's goal scoring exploits, but salmon is our engine as a team, without him it doesnt work.

wasnt around for the presentation last year but wouldnt be surprised. Heard an unknown interesting fact about Mark Salmon earlier tonight from the club his dad played for us in the 85/86 season Joey Salmon (29 appearances 2 goals). Both him and Mark played for us and Athlone! Joey was at the Harps game! Joey was very handy too I heard too!!
