played off the pitch, dundalk were much better organised, closed players down much faster, read the game better we were woeful all over the park.. every time murphy got the ball he played it backwards not once did he play it forward..gary shaw due back in a few weeks,, we let quigley run the show everytime he got the ball nobody took hold of him.. bad night..

Good game tonight lads, thought ye dominated til the sending off, ye had all the play and chances but no end product, Cherrie only had to pick the ball out of the net once for all your possession. Sending off was correct, Quigley nutmegged him and as he was about to shoot he took him down, last man and all. Gregg was poor for the third. Second half was all us as the extra man took its toll. Dempsey was orchestrating everything for ye in the first thalf but he could nto get on the ball in the second half. Could have been alot worse only for three great saves by Gregg in the second half from Bennett, Gaynor and Griffin. All the best for the rest of the season.

Penalty decision ruined what looked like being a good contest. If these things do even themselves out over the season we're due a whole heap of good luck (or dodgy penalties in our favour), how the excuse for a linesman didnt flag for the most blatant handball you'll ever see is beyond me. So instead of getting a free out when we were in the ascendency it ends up that we go 2-1 down and lose a player. Are these clowns ever held accountable? If i was that incompetant in my job id have questions to answer.

Always the ref or linesmans fault when we drop points. Honestly thought it wouldn't be rolled out after this hiding but sure enough it is. Dundalk won fair and square!

No it isn't the ref or linesmans fault whenever we drop points but you'd have to be fairly slow to not see that missing the handball by quigley before the penalty seriously handicapped the team last night.

And you'd have to be fairly slow to not see the fella just walked through the entire defence for the first goal, awful defending for the pen which lead to 2-1, the keeper letting the ball through his hands and legs for the third goal....the ball was barely moving but hey it was the ref and linesman's fault for all this!

Couldn't agree more with ye KK, Ref was decent IMO for a change, definate sending off, kendrick should have more kop-on to defend like he did and Last was too easily brushed aside hence he did not appear in the second-half, as for Gregg's blooper enough said, hopefully just a bad night and we will bounce back for sligo on friday, fare play to Dundalk nice too see some young lads getting a chance...

We were more than in the game until the sending off. It was a clear peno but felt the sending off was a little harsh seeing as they missed Quigley's handball in the run up to it and i didn't think was getting to the ball with Gregg and Last very close to it. Even at that Mulroy should have equalised to make it 2-2, terrible miss. What Gregg was doing for the 3rd is beyond me, absolutely TERRIBLE ! We were always chasing the game when we went down to 10 men and in the 2nd half we tried but Dundalk caught us on the break a few times and only for a few decent Gregg saves it could have been a lot worse, but again we should have made it 3-2 when Murphy missed the chance at the back post and 5 minutes later Shields missed a free header from the 6 yard box. We had more than our fair share of chances but our finishig has been extremely poor the last few weeks, really need an experienced striker to help out up front. Too many players had poor games last night for us to get anything out of it, Dundalk fully deserved the 3 points, we were beaten by a far better team on the night.

Obviously the linesman isnt to blame for poor defending or gregg making a hash of the 3rd goal dont think anyone would even try to claim that. With the extra man maybe that 3rd shot wouldnt have got through for gregg to make the mistake or kendrick could have put over a great ball for a goal. All ifs and buts of course, but who knows what would have happened had the game stayed at 1-1 and a free out given. Could we have lost anyway, quite likely with how our finishing was on the night but the point im making is had that been spotted then the chances of a 5-1 drubbing would have been much lower.

Here's hoping for a return to form against sligo tomarrow. C'mon the wanderers
