Once again i'd take 1-0 here. Longford have been the surprise package this season but also have failed to beat any of the top teams, Cork being the only team they've taken points off. We had a shocker up there last year and can't have a repeat this year.

Can see this one being a 1-1.

Since Yere doing fairly well this season will ye be bringing much of an away support, it's not so long ago ye use 2 bring one of the best away supports to flancare every time.

missing or two first choice strikers or centre half plus many more we are just about hanging on and have done well concidering the players we are missing. IMO if we had stevo and gary sheehan fit we would be top of the league.
and with purcell missing next week again shels its becoming a nightmare :(

We have had awful lucky this season. It's a good thing we have had cover for most positions and as you say have been hanging in there. The problem now is even the players covering are now picking up injuries and suspensions. We could easily be looking at 1 point from our next two games which will hit us hard with the way other teams are picking up points. I still think though the final run in is where the season will be decided. The team that cracks will drop out and the rest will pull away.

Doubt it a good few of the lads that would go on a bus will be in the middle of exams so id say they will stay home studying.

Yere not the only one struggling with injuries were have michael lee, Keith Gillespie, jack Morley, graham dowling, Austin skelly and alvin rouse all on the treatment table but hopefully skelly and Gillespie will be ready for Saturday while Rouse is only a sub keeper anyway.

Anyway lads best of luck and may the best team win.

Will have a few up there no doubt however with exams and the early trains to Thurles the next morning some may give it a miss.

Was a good three points because we didn't perform well and add into that the injuries we have.

Next week is going to be much tougher. In saying that though winning tonight was more important than next week if you ask me. Losing to Shels wouldn't be the end of the world as there is a good chance the other top teams might also. Opening a six point gap on Longford was much more important. Longford are a decent side and Don Cowan was causing us loads of problems. Him coming off at half time changed the game and allowed our back 4 settle a bit more.

The final series also sees us away to Shels, Cork and Monaghan I believe. We need to do our work now and not be playing catch up facing into those.
