Monaghan United 1-0 Everton: Fabio makes it 1-0 to the Mons with a great header in off the underside of the crossbar from a John Reilly cross.

I see pike are missing both their strikers and only have 3 subs, one of which is their manager. Doing well to be still at 0-0 and supposedly had a perfectly good goal ruled out.

Jaysus, squeaky bum stuff at the Bowl. Were much the better side between say the 20th and the 80th minutes, but Orchard had enough chances in the rest of the game to beat us twice. Still, we're still unbeaten against non-league sides since 1921, and it'll be a while before we have as weak a team as we have this year, so touch wood the record will go on a few years yet.

We're suddenly very shaky at the back though; put a lot of money on Rovers -2 or so for Friday.

Yeah, neat finish by David Ryan but was waved offside.....looked on to me though. Rovers lucky to get out of this game with a win. Pike had MOTM in Ryan, but bizarely Davoran got the official MOTM.

Pike Rovers are well organised team.

Handy on for Pats. Few players got a run out. Lovely goals by McMillan and young Jake Carroll.

Congrats to Wexford on result of the night

Athlone are not the best side in the world, but they passed it a bit. Still no sight of Kavanagh so that's the end of him

He's not the only one - check out Jimmy Fallon, Garbhan McKenna & Michael Isichei. Jason Marks signed at only 3yo, and Jake Rossiter was an A-Championship player in the womb! Bet there are miracles like that all over the League ...

Pike Rovers are well organised team.

And to think Pike where missing their two starting strikers, a starting midfielder and one of their best defenders. They had their manager and 2 Pike "B" players on the bench and no other subs. A good showing by Pike by all accounts.

Well done Wexford incredible result for them. It just shows what can happen when a team is underestimated.

Supposedly, not getting many chances ahead of Dennehy/McCabe/Sheppard so being left out and then not playing well in the odd game he played then sulking about being left out.

Great result for Wexford, I'm sure Mick Wallace is over the moon. Of course it's more important to get into the top 4 for Derry, though they don't need this.

If a team from outside the top 4 win the Cup, 4th place gets you nothing. Might as well finish 7th...

Top 4 yes - but still no excuse for last nights performance the players who were put out to play last night should have been good enough to beat Wexford. Wexford showed more fight more determination and deservedly won by a mile. Some players have got to look at their attitudes with us. If they dont want to give 100% then go somewhere else. As a fan all we ask is to give your all and the players didnt do that last night. Again well done to Wexford and their fans thoroughly deserved

Just curious - leaving Longford last night tried to get the fulltime results on Newstalk at 10.00 - was i imagining it or did they not mention any FAI results - everything else I heard - tennis/golf/gah? Maybe I missed it as I was still in shock at looking at an atrocious match (Longford V Harps) with the worst ref I have ever seen in my life.............? If not then thats shocking from Newstalk

Not surprising really. They never really give LoI much coverage.

Didn't hear any results on the way home either. I think with so many games in the Cup, it's easier to justify leaving out. League results are usually mentioned.

The sulking probably wouldn't have been a problem only he did it over Twitter for all the world to see. Silly boy and almost certainly moving on as soon as the window opens.

I was just wondering, was that former Blue and Cobh forward Willie Bruton playing for
Douglas Hall last night against Bohs ?

Also, is there a definitive date set for the draw for the next round ?

Newstalk are a disgrace for coverage, every Friday night when I leave our home matches, I have a 20 min drive, and there is NEVER any updates on the other results.

Are they still a top tier sponsor ?

Never a penalty to begin with but holy fook, we had 70% possession and battered them, just couldn't score.
Season over already :(
