Deserved win for us, missed plenty of chances and Dundalk could have nicked a draw at the end but Clarke made a great save.

Why is it brutal?

Brutal for us to be fair, we have a long way to come still

Maybe if Corks tactics didn't just consist of kicking it as high and as hard as they can at the front men you'd feel less brutalised??

Pretty good game at Tallaght, great goal to win it and even though Chris O'Connor made a lot of great saves to keep Bohs in it Mannus had to make a brilliant save in the second half in a one on one.

Tough defeat for Bohs to take, but it's great experience for Fenlon's Fledglings such as Heary, Burns, Price, O'Brien, Cronin, Brennan and Flood.

Hat's off to Bray, I didn't think they'd have carry over their form from last season. Galway will quite rightly be worried while Derry are showing themselves to be a side to be reckoned with. Superb form by Pat's as well.

Ahem... don't forget us and our depressingly nerve shredding ability to score late and/or win one-nil.

Ahem... don't forget us and our depressingly nerve shredding ability to concede late and/or send our fans into a spiral of despair.

Not sure whats so brutal about a draw away to Limerick, from what Ive seen of Cork this year they have been very poor-Id expect Mons and Shels to be the main two come squeaky bum time!!

Mervue 2 - 1 up 90' King

"We wuz robbed" apparently. Clear penalty turned down just before they scored the winner from one of their few attacks of the game. Tom King and Gaffney doing the damage is no surprise, they're both excellent. Sounds like we missed a fair few chances though and that's always dangerous. Still, these things happen over the season and I won some cash on tonight's games so that's some consolation.

:cool2:

I really liked being down the Square end of the West Stand for the game. I really liked the bit where Price was sent off. I really liked the bit where some guy missed a one-on-one, I really like Sheppard's header. I really didn't get the bizarre songs like Freed from Desire and Hold Me Now, but I really liked the silence on 42 minutes..

I really like Bohemians coming to play Rovers at Tallaght. :giggle:

Poor enough game to be fair and Bohs played the better football for long spells. Someone in the row in front of me said something along the lines of "they won't create a goal but we could gift them one" which more or less summed up the game post-Price's sending off.

My immediate reaction was that Price was dealt with a bit harshly - looked like he might have just got his body in front, but I'm not a referee. Sheppard's goal was fantastic - like one of the Chicharito's best efforts.

We let them away with murder tonight we really should have hammered them. They didnt outplay us at any point. Seen the sending off again on the news and it was a stonewall red card.

Just about kept our 100% away record but I think we deserved it in the end. Good to get another clean sheet even if Wexford never looked good enough to score anyway.

Mons are the best team I have seen us play this season but I did miss the Cork match. Their defense did look shaky though and I dont know that they have much in terms of squad depth so they might struggle as the season goes on.

3 words for you.....Transfer Window Baby! Will be interesting to see who God brings in for us.

Our defence has improved massively without Rogers cocking things up but we were dealt a bit of a blow in the form of what could be a season ending injury to Conor McMahon.

For some reason Rovers were playing like they were 4:0 up and coasting, when the reality was it was only one mistake away from an undeserved draw for boez.
Great goal by shep tho.
Onwards we go.

I thought Rovers - Bohs was a really good game to be honest. Rovers were very much in control and the only time Bohs looked like scoring was a 10 minute spell right after the sending off, when Rovers seemed to switch off completely thinking the game was already in the bag. Mannus made a fantastic one on one save that secured the result. The sending off was a definite red, although Twigg looked well offside from where I was, almost right in line with it. Shepard's header was off the back of his head so there was a bit of luck involved, but it was a great leap and an excellent cross. One of the more enjoyable games in Tallaght this season.

The usual story, bucket loads of chances to finish off the game but poor finishing all round.
I thought we played well for most of the game but once we got the goal then Dundalk started pileing on the pressure.
Somehow we didnt concede and held on for the win but we really have to be more clinical infront of goal.
If we are to get anything off shams next week we need to take our chances.
As for Hector, wow, genius.

Really tight league at the moment not much between Bohs in 7th to Rovers in 2nd. Shams should be more then two points clear at this stage with the squad they have. Saying that no one will stop them.
