With a full set of fixtures this Monday and Tuesday how many will top the 529 attendance at the Wales v Northern Ireland game in The Much Maligned (Carling) Cup.

Here's the fixture list:

Premier Division

Drogheda v Bray
Sligo v Dundalk
UCD v St. Pats
Shamrock Rovers v Bohemians
Derry v Galway

First Division

Athlone v Salthill
Limerick v Cork
Mervue v Longford
Monaghan v Harps
Wexford v Shels

So how many games will top the 529??

We can do this every week, simply leave your prediction here and at the end of the season the people with the most correct predictions can be entered into a draw to win forty two thousand tickets to the next Much Maligned (Carling) Nations Cup.

This week my prediction is: 5

Sure the lowest PD crowd (Galway with 650) from the latest fixtures in the PD beat this already.

A funnier one would be how many First Div crowds will beat it each week.

Attendances will always be abysmally low for League of Ireland games if clubs persist with playing matches on Mondays-Sundays during the year.

The sooner the FAI see sense and schedule all games to be played in Smarch the better. I heard it's on the list of priorities after the Sligo-Dublin Rocketry Service.

One of the greatest ever moments of that show and indeed all of tv history. I always crack up even thinking about it.

Well played Shagminch.

Just the 5. Limerick v Cork in the First, and all bar Drogheda v Bray in the Premier.

Can I give LTID a medal thingy?

Edit - no, doesn't seem I can. John83 or tcm - any help?

Yeah but it has to be of the garish kind. Something to embarrass him with.

Two Limerick crests in his profile would probably be a bit confusing though.

Zing.

But which Limerick crest would you pick from the myriad options?

Myriad means many; you can't say "myriad of options" any more than you can say "many of options". You have to say "myriad options"

I quite like the irony of the "Commitment to Excellence" one. Did it come out at around the same time as the "Limerick FC Football Club" scarves?

Nothing worse than a pedant being out-pedanted by a pedant.

Were those scarves not a campaign by a well-known chicken restaurant?

Good idea! a cross between a medal and a pennant, the very thing.

There was talk of "Commitment to Excrement" merchandise at the times I assure you.

Also, you're correct on the scarves, but coming from a fan of UCD Dublin?! :D
