View Full Version : New season ticket
After following up with them again, I got an email to say that my seats had been moved down so many rows and that new season tickets were on the way and would have them before the Slovakia game. (I remain sceptical whether I will get them in the post in time, wouldnt surprise me if I have yet to collect them on the day). But in general happy that they finally sorted me out with the better seats.

Got my tickets today. Of course they're paper tickets and not the swipe cards. Small steps I suppose.
Were you swipe card last 'season'?

Yeah. And this years initial tickets they gave me (up in the clouds) were swipe card. Said there was a problem with the printer for the swipe cards at the moment.
Having said all that I'm very happy with my new seats
New cards didn't arrive, old card (singular, my partner was busy at the last minute) still worked. Rest of my row was full this time compared to just us last time!
Will get back on to the FAI...

The worst thing about those new cards is they say 'Fortress GB' on the back in the top right-hand corner...
I'd been commenting recently enough but before the new ones arrived that the FAI ones had "FGB" whereas Brighton ones had "Fortress GB". Spoke too soon...

Aw no, I wish I'd never read your post, ArdeeBhoy. Still, we won't care as long as we qualify, eh?
I had a ticket for the East Stand Upper last year. This year I asked to be moved to the West Stand, and I was delighted that they agreed, however wasn't too pleased that I was a few rows more elevated than the row that I was in last year, and further away from the centreline, about level with six yard box.
So I emailed and asked for 2 seats on the front row of the Upper Stand on the centreline, cheeky me. A helpful FAI elf called and said he could move me 10 rows closer to the pitch. 'Is there anything on the centreline?', I asked. After a slight pause he confirmed he could move me towards the centreline, and about 15 rows closer to the pitch. The new seats are not far from Pat Fenlon, Richie Sadlier and Ronnie Whelan, as I discovered last Friday, but apart from that I'm very happy with the seats!
FAI phoned me after my email, moved me significantly forward in my previous block.
