Jet's new album is decent.
Snow Patrol's 'Final Straw'
Maroon 5's is a pleasant surprise as is Katie Melhua
depends on what music you're into

Does she sing that song 'Crazy'?
yeah, worst song on the album by the way, albums a littler jazzier than I expected, which reminds me, Jamie Cullam's (sp?) is really good
couple of things:
1. what do you generally listen to?
2. why recently released? there's probably plenty of good albums out there already that you've never heard. There's also alot of ****e recently released.
There's nothing like a bit of ska for summertime; try one of the trojan box sets.
For a bit of R'n'R, try young heart attack. Kids from Texas, whose parent obvoiusly liked a bit of AC/DC
Don't know what side of the love/hate divide you are on, but Morrisseys album is excellent, if that's your thing.
It's never too late to get into Belle & Sebastian.
I am currently championing the cause of New Hampshires finest, Death to Tyrants (probably not available in your nearest mega-store)
Failing that, pull out your stone roses album, and say what's the point, this'll never be topped...

Definitely, and then pull out Pills N Thrills... :)
Last album's I've brought have been Neil Young Decade 66-76 and Johnny Cash American IV.

Cood choices.I bought a compilation cd in London last week called Heroes. Had a whole lot of stuff from Bowie, Oasis, Stereophonics, feeder, Kinks, Mott the Hoople, Stranglers, Elvis Costello, Strokes ,Hives and more on it. Good value @ €14.99.
Strange as I am, I've also recently bought Planxty live at Vicar Street, and the Christy Box set...
A weird eclectic mix...

surely Bummed is the Mondays finest moment?
mondays, pixies, underworld, screamadilica, roses (all the stereotypical early 90s stuff)never leave the vicinity of my cd player. just needed something new for a change.
into most types of music as long as its decent...(jaxx, strokes, doves, white stripes of more recent)
like what i hear on the radio from franz ferdinand and jet...are the albums worthy of a purchase though.?..(got more choosy in my old age!!)

Dunno, Pills N Thrills was defined that whole period IMO....

Possibly would define the period but still feel the Bummed is the better album.

charlatans new album is called 'up at the lake' and is plenty good. i especially like track 10 (try again today?). morriseys new album is alright too, but nowhere near as good as the smiths stuff obviously.

Waiting on delivery of Up At The Lake, and the Beta Band's latest.
