Still wouldn't go anyway near it.
Zayed, everyone's favourite Libyan international, is 9/2 for first goalscorer. He's been free scoring recently. I'll have a few pennies on that.

Have you seen Galway? A zero after the 25 and I might have a euro on them.

Yeah I know they are bad (will probably beat us on Monday now I've said that) just unusual to see a team out that high in a league game, 20/1 draw no beat, Rovers 1/250 draw no bet

Galway have been matched as high as 70 on betfair, currently 46!
Galway HT-FT is 100/1 with Paddy. Definitely the highest HT FT I've seen on any LOI game, or even an FAI / Lge cup game involving a non league team.

Might be (so I can't be accused of jinxing us!), though neither of us are on any sort of form really, and we've already beaten Drogheda three times this season.

shep I'm also on Drogheda to win. It's a 50/50 game in my opinion, or I'd even have Drogs as slight favs. UCD at 11/8 now on betfair is ridiculously low I feel.

Pats worth a bet on Thursday away to IVB @ 23/10?

Mr A
28/06/2011, 11:22 AM
I think so.

TNS at around evens to beat Cliftonville may be a decent shout as well. Edit.. just seen that Cliftonville actually won there in a friendly recently so not sure of what to make of that now.

They're 14/5 on bwin. Might be worth shopping around

Full squad travelled. Mahon said that no one who was a doubt would travel so that means Bradley and North are OK. He also said a draw there would be a good result and that the team would be set up "to be hard to beat"

If North and Kavanagh both start Pats may be a bit of value, mainly as I think there's an abundance of goals there.

I'm in negative 'oh no we're in europe and we could get tanked by a team no one knows' mode so won't be betting

Harps 10/3 against Cork on Saturday is bloody great odds considering the way the side is playing the past 4 games. Plus getting the 4-0 win at the weekend will have the team buzzing.
Monaghan at 8/5 against Shels on Fri is great value, Shels will have to plan without Dawson an Mulhall and the nature of the defeat against Sligo will have knocked them.
A massive fiver on a Harps, Shels and Longford/Waterford draw at a treble returns around €191.

p.s. Mervue are a much better side than 15/2 suggests against Limerick.

I can see Pats getting a result over there ... was shocked to see IBV down as favourites on betfair at odds of around 2.5 last night! Laying IBV is a good bet I think.

Yeah, I had a gander on oddschecker and 23/10 was the best price, and still is. Bwin go 2/1 now. I'll be only going small stakes eitherway, ta.

Yes I took Dundalk on asian hcap already. I dont have the stats to back it up but LOI teams playing on Sundays in between Euro ties dont do well as a rule.

i agree I backed them, I would have them carpet and a half without factoring in last Thusday night, I guess the compilers don,t know how knackered Pats were at the end of that game.

May as well try make a few quid out of the Super Cup at the weekend.

Paddy Power have Man City at 2/1 to beat the Dundalk/Derry All stars with a 2 goal handicap. Add an extra goal and the odds go to 9/2. Given how the LoI team is a shambles and how well things worked last year, this has to be tempting. Going to put a few quid on each.

Mr A

Took Pats +2 at 11/10.. reckon they have a good chance of keeping it tight there.
