We have our second (I think) managerial casualty of the season - Emlyn Long has been relieved of his duties as first team coach at Salthill Devon. He was actually the manager, but lack of appropriate qualifications meant he was always named as coach, with Mike Quirke named as player/manager.
Paul 'Ski' McGee has been named as the new manager - he was training underage sides with Devon.

That should be a giggle.
A coarse, profanity-filled giggle. :)

Could he do any worse though? Salthill could actually be doing alot better to be fair, they just need someone who can get them playing.

Managers should be wary of Longford Town.....first round of games not even finished and thats 2 managers who've gotten the boot days after playing us!!!
Longford are the new Monaghan United.
Not sure where that leaves Monaghan. Possibly in Laois somewhere.

Lucky them, there aren't many others who'd consider that an upgrade.
