Bray Wanderers’ highly-rated young midfielder Colm James will be out of action for up to two months after sustaining serious mouth injuries during the recent top-of-the-table clash with UCD.

James, a member of the eircom League under-21 representative selection at a tournament in Scotland last month, lost four teeth and sustained damage to his palate after a collision with a College player during the game.

He was replaced by another league 1 representative, Paul O’Reilly, nine minutes before half-time in a game which Bray lost on a 2-0 scoreline, just their second league defeat of the season, both of which had come at the hands of the Students.

Both Bray and UCD won their respective games this weekend, defeating Cobh Ramblers and Athlone Town respectively.
