Derry city played out of thier skins last nite and controled the tempo for the whole first half restricting to one shot on goal. derry should really 1-0 up on 23 mins but clive delaney missed a far post diving header from a excellent free kick . Derry could have been ahead inside of 13 mins also Garry becketts shot beat the despairing dive of micheal divine only to his shot come back off the upright and go wide . Alan murphy was a live wire up front all night and went close at half time but his shot was well held by devine. at the other end Denis behan blew his shot wide when it seemed harder to score . in the second half derry took the lead through a good passing move before murphy hit a bullet like shot past a static city defence and tow late city goals sealed their win behen scored after his cross came off eidde mc callions back and he finished it off at the second attempt . kearneys goal came from what looked to be a mix up between tiring delaney and hargan nobody told hargan tht behan was coming on he stole the ball his inch perfect shot was riffled home by karney. derry didnt deserve to lose and another few performances like that and yell get a few points.
