Would he not be better off just returning to Ireland?

Although I know Scotland has a great pull for Irish people - for some reason.

Like living and socialising in Scotland hasn't done much for his career - or reputation - insofar.

Barry Douglas (a Scot) moved to Poland and won trophies. He's now playing in Turkey against the likes of Galatasary, Fenerbahce and Besiktas.

He's done more for himself in Poland than he ever did in Scotland.

This Irish footballer mentality again.

The average Irish 18 year old can move to Timbuktu looking for work, but the average Irish footballer can't see beyond their own nose.

Scotland would offer him easier access to home and family,there are no language or real cultural barriers and he probably has strong friendships in Scotland. He should really apologise to you and move to Poland, shouldn't he? Any chance of you moving to Turkey and then report back to him on what he is missing out on? ?
