Alrite fellas.

Do yeez reckon I could get somewhere to stay handy enough in Cork if I just land down on Friday? I have nowhere booked and don't know the city at all.

Cheers

should be easy enough to pick something up

the victoria hotel off Patrick street is very basic, but usually cheap enough and it's slap bang in the heart of things.
Jury's inn charges by the room if there's a few of you, near the bus and train station, not too far out of the way.

there's loads to be honest, lots of reasonable B&B's near the college too

There's a lovely bus garage at Parnell Place. ;)

Looking forward to the game, Derry have great fans. Best in the leeague, IMO, never any trouble either...

You could try Isaacs (http://www.isaacs.ie/hotelisaacscork/), try Whazon (http://www.whazon.com/) and Cork Guide (http://www.cork-guide.ie/) for some more info. Dont know what the best though. I'd ring ahead but you might not have any trouble .... it being after a long weekend.

Isaacs! That's the place we stayed the last time I was down - 2001 I think. The year the punt finished and the Euro came out. I couldn't for the life of me remember the name of the place.

Me and two other Derry fans were standing in Turners Cross like three retards dressed up as Red and White Arabs lol. It was bollock freezing too - December 29th or something!

Cheers lads anyway,

Might see some of yeez down there.

lol. There was a cracker picture of me in the back of the Derry Journal. It was really cold and I had sent one of the other Derry fans to get me a cup of tea to heat me up - I was looking around the ground to see where he went, but the sun was quite bright and I had one hand up over my eyebrows scanning Turners Cross to see if I could see where Mick was with my tea! (I never even got any in the end-up!)

But the Derry Journal had a pic of me and a caption saying "3 Wise Men look for the North Star (Liam Coyle!)" :D

You had to be there... :(
