Tony Cousins gives his thoughts on the signing here. Sounds like he was fully in favour of the decision to bring him in which is important.

Another good piece on the signing from Saturday's Irish Times by the way

its possibly a case cousins wanted him playing as early as possible and expected as much but then maybe the people behind the scenes thought its better to hold off for a week, build it up and have him play the day of the press conference thing v athlone to bring in a good crowd.

Few bohs fans saying Gillespie was ineffective playing against them last year, they must have been in the bar for this! Hopefully we see plenty of this

If he can stick a few like that in front of Cowan or Skelly then he'll be a good asset.

Looks like there were a few out. The Times sent over a reporter from Newcastle and I see TV3 were down. Must keep an eye out for pieces in the papers in the next couple of days. Great publicity, Gillespie was on RTE radio today too.

They'd have to cut some of the International/ Every other conceivable football but League of Ireland (delete as applicable) sections from the League of Ireland "highlights" show aka MNS - they couldn't be doing that.
