As an Ireland fan this is a good news and as a spurs fan it is good news too. The reason i have it in national team is, After the European Championships we will be facing France pretty early on and they will have a new manager in place that will be just getting used to working with the players etc and they will have a few retiring too. I think it is as good a time and chance of getting points away from home against the french as ever. Looking at their last qualifying campaign they did not beat any team at home by less that 3-0 which is pretty impressive.

not meaning to diminish france's achievement, but they had possibly the softest qualifying group ever last time out. here's hoping we can make this one a little more interesting.

Agreed and to continue it from a national team point of view, the Spurs based Irish contingent have a really good manager to help improve their lot.

Could be just the manager that robbie needs to sort out his little problems. Having worked with the likes of henry santini should be able to develop robbie into one of the best strikers in the premiership. Hopefully if france win euro04 a few of there older players like zidane , thuram will retire on a high !
