Been an absolute disgrace this season thought twould pick up a small bit once Munster and six nations were out of the way but no change. It seems to be the exact same 200 or so faces week in week out sickening to think galway are getting three times our gate in a city more or less the same size and queenstown are nearly level with us... Almost makes u reminisce about Fri nights under lights at Hogan Park at least we could create an intimidating atsmosphere at times :) Anyone any ideas that dont involve large scale kidnapping ? :)

bohemians school initiative is a good idea.
you give out tickets in the schools that allows up to 3 kids (under 16)in for free providing one adult pays 12 euro to get in.the idea being the kids bring the tickets home and show them to their ma or da and ask to be brought to the match.
if you can get a child to a match even once you have a great chance of getting them hooked on actually being at a match instead of tv stuff.
i think a lot of e/l clubs including the town could make some use of this.

Has been broached, and tried once.
Didn't work because we lacked the basic information - who we are playing, where we are playing and when we are playing. No follow up since...

Really p****es me off the board are an absolute disgrace at this club when it comes to promoting the team. I've actually been asked by people at work "Whos jersey is that?" or "Do Limerick actually have a soccer team?" Its sad but true. The club seems to think its the supporters clubs responsibility to raise our profile around the city but i dont see why it should be. I think its very easy to blame public apathy for the state of Limerick fc but a large portion of the blame can be laid squarely at the feet of those in charge... No effort, no publicity, no hope at the moment im afraid :(

you could always use a ticket/voucher for any limerick home game during the season.just say 3 kids free with one adult and
dont name the opposition or the venue or the date in case it changes.
just a thought,i mean just get the kids there by hook or by crook, you could end up with some fans for life if you get them young enough.
good luck lads for the rest of the season :)

The kids go free to all home games anyway so I don't think there would be any point using the voucher system.Promoting Limerick Fc to all the schools in the area might work, If the kids started going regularly maybe the parents might show some interest themselves. The problem we face is that while we struggle, at the wrong end of the table people don't want to know.
I too wear my Lims Fc jersey at work sometimes and get the same response
as "Lim Till I Die" gets, whose jersey is that?I tell them its your local eircom league soccer teams kit why don't you come to the games, you might actually enjoy it.
The city and county has too many what I call "Fine weather supporters" who only show an interest when things are on the up, this was even evident in last weekends GAA match against Cork where two thirds of the crowd were Cork supporters and the attendance well below what was expected.
I do agree with what "Lim Till I Die" is saying though, the powers that be at the club appear to be doing very little to promote the club in a way that would generate more supporters to the games which in turn would bring in some much needed funds.
Ps anyone know any Russian Billionaires living in Mid West with nothing to spend there money on........

The last few games has seen less than 200 at the games, good weather, and no other attraction to keep the public away. Do the people just have no interest in senior soccer in the city?
