Just opened a yahoo email account, but getting some very amusing junk mail... from the "ive just won E500,000 in an internet lottery", "a russian oil billionaire in prison wants me to open a bank account for him in Ireland" and to top it all, a Nigerian who wants me to "join his private army fighting for his brother who is in a credit card scam in Lagos..." Whats the most outrageous junk mail offer you've received?

There is an internet sport involving winding up the spoofers.

Just pretend that you want to go along with their scam, see what you can get them to do, how much you can annoy them etc. Some lads got the Nigerian Scammers to send them money as a 'sign of goodwill'.

There was one sent to the UCD Supporters' Club e-mail offering us the job of manager of some African team (Mali I think) during the forthcoming African Nations' Championship. Gave details of salary, perks and job requirements. We sent off a spoofy e-mail (played in England, retired through injury, took over as manager at UCD, won the league three years running), and they came straight back and asked us to fly out for a meeting. Never any money transfers mentioned or anything! 'Twas very strange...
