i just got a call from a cruise company in florida asking me if i was interested in working with them for a year as a dj on board one of their ships...
does anybody else know anyone who has worked on these ships ????

its a long wat to get back from the bahamas to strokestown rd on a fri night :D
Don't know anyone that works on the Entertainment side of cruise ships. Friend of the family is a Mate on one, and seems to enjoy it... There was a series on it on BBC wasn't there - some wagon singer got a record deal out of it, so I suppose you could try and find that. I'd say you'd have a swell time.

it's certainly different to life on terra ferma. I worked on a cruise ship for a few months a while back and found it an enjoyable experience. The conditions weren't great and the work tough at times (though presumably superstar djs would have it cushy enough ;)) but it was a good way to see a bit of the world.

I heard for some some of the on board entertainment they get you you to dress up as women. :eek: You'll be wearing high eels :p
