Wow this forum is a bit dead!

I just had a bet on forest to win the Championship at 9.6

I think this is a good value bet, obviously I can't guarantee they will win but...

League table
-----------------------------------------------plyd -------------------------------points points/game
1 Queens Park Rangers 27 14 10 3 46 18 28 52 1.9
2 Cardiff City_________ 27 14 5 8 45 33 12 47 1.7
3 Norwich City_________ 27 13 8 6 44 35 9 47 1.7
4 Swansea City________ 28 14 5 9 35 26 9 47 1.7
5 Nottingham Forest__ 26 12 10 4 36 22 14 46 1.8
6 Leeds United________ 28 12 9 7 52 45 7 45 1.6

Current form
---------------------plyd points points/game
1 Nottingham 7 19 2.7
2 Watford______ 5 12 2.4
3 Norwich C____ 6 14 2.3
4 Reading____ 7 14 2.0
5 Hull City____ 7 14 2.0
6 Millwall____ 6 11 1.8
7 Cardiff City _____6 10 1.7
8 Queens Par____ 7 11 1.6

So whilst Forest are 6 point behind QPR they do have a game in hand, so we can
say if they win that they will only be 3 points behind.
On current form they get a point a game more than QPR so they will easily pass them, the danger comes from Norwich (also a good bet at up to 10-1).

OK I could say Forest recent fixtures could have been harder but nonetheless they are the form team.

Over the last 15 games just 2 losses and 3 draws.
Next best is Norwich 2 defeats and 6 draws.
Forest are unbeaten at home and have just started winning away from home.

I think they are a great price at 8.6-1
3-1 would be a good price in my mind and I can see a case for making them odds on.

loking good for forest at the moment (half time) forest winning away from home, main rivals, losing drawing, drawing.
That could change of course but Forest wining away from home is a good sign.
They would currently be second 4 points behind leaders with two games in hand, that would effectively put them top
if they got average points from the two games in hand.
So feeling positive about my bet. Forest playing well.
Leaders QPR will probably win though.

Commentator: "Forest are brilliant at the moment".

Already counting my winnings ;)
If score stay same you won't get nowhere the odds I got.:cool:

well two rivals won and one drew, but another away win for Forest and good form continues.

Forest now 5.8 from 9.6, still fairly good value I think.

Very good call I think, they were as high as 20s at the beginning of the month.

QPR away to Reading tonight, I am hoping Shane Long sticks a few past them and takes 3 points off QPR.
Forest at home to Watford tomorrow, Watford a second to Forest in the current form table so that wil be a tought game for Forest to win.

Well QPR won unfortunately but so did Forest keeping things pretty much the same although forest have climbed to second.
Big game next week, Forest away to QPR a classic 'six-pointer'. Forest could be 4 points behind with two games in hand,
effectively top, or they could be 10 points adrift.
A game which could decide the Championship.

9/4 on Paddy Power for Forest to beat QPR, not too bad

Well they went a goal down early on, I was not to worried thought as they arre capable of coming back from an early goal.
I was a bit more worried when they went down to 10 men, however they soon got one back and looked a better team with 10!
The hung on for a draw which doesn't not change things much.
so they are now 5.5 at Betfair, encouraging they keep their unbeaten run, if they can keep that form they can push QPR to the wire
although I think QPR have an easier run in.

OH well it has all gone a bit pear-shaped
Just lost to second bottom team Scunthorpe.
I am worried their form might crumble now as has happened before.
Their changes of winning the title have taken a big knock now.
My bet is as always the kiss of death for the result I backed.

Well it looks like that bet is going down the tubes,
loosing 1-0 at home after a bad run.
They had a similar season where they faded like this.
I always tend to back when form improves but no sooner than I back they revert to
normal shortly after.

Be lucky to make play-offs, even luckier to win them and even luckier to stay up lol.

Ah well that bet is dead, but I did get the national winner so they covers my loss comfortably.
