Ever been ill and recovered after a couple of days later?
Indeed but I've also played football all my life and always had injury trouble and in the scale of injuries 2 days counts for f*ck all.
Not implying anything in particular here, but no argument can be conjured to defend that he could not have played 40 hours earlier...

I'm not especially anti-Keane.I accept he picks and chooses games. It comes part of Keane and internationals, but not to play our most important in years (when he clearly would have been capable)is where I have to question his commitment.

I don't really want to get into this, but I think the point is that he played two days after the second Iran game, therefore he had a full week to recover any ill effects from the first game which (i promise this is the last time I'll say it) was his first game back after over a month out injured.

I know someone will argue that if he could play against Leicester couldn't he have played against Iran away two days earlier, maybe so, but it's also possible that he was better off on the treatment table in Manchester than travelling a day each to and from the Middle East.

Look an injury can take any number of days to heal. - FACT.

If it takes x days to heal then it is not healed on (x-2) days.

How many games has Keane missed for Man U recently?

All faked injuries no doubt, and a miraclous recover for the FA Cup
which they won.

If you were manager you would have lost the FA Cup. FACT.

:D :D

I think the argument is...

If Beavis had been managing United he would have pushed Keane into a game before the FA Cup final (instead of giving him the extra days to recover) and caused a recurrence of the injury thereby denying United their captain on the day. I think that's it.

Might be more convincing if it hadn't been Millwall in the final ;)
