    Pat Burke

I see Pat Burke - of the open goal miss in Drogheda around 2003 and Aberdonian Stu's story about not giving Bazza a lift back to Dublin one time? - is the latest former UCD player to make the intercounty GAA squads. Was only looking at the Dublin GAA poster yesterday and thought I recognised the face, and the name matched, but I still didn't seriously think that it was the same person until John83 told me it was in the Herald. Forgot to ask what he was doing looking in the Herald though.

So that's what - Jayo, Kevin Moran, Pat McWalter, Stephen Hurley, Danger Benno, Kenfold (or was that just his dad?) and now Pat Burke who've played for UCD and intercounty football? Any others spring to mind?

I'd finished my book on the train, and it's the only evening paper in Dublin. I wanted something to read over dinner about the government trying to outdo the best work of Tom Coughlan, but instead was left bemused by what appeared to be a transcript of some pub gossip.

Kenfold never played inter-county, his Dad managed Offaly.
