Welcome to the sad land. You can get page three stuffed into youre face if you want but im afraid breast feeding is out.
Ireland is the only nation to ban ad. Britain censors it.
This country is so backward - pathetic.
Whats laughable though is that this ad appears every morning on TG4 on Euronews. Saw it while eating my cornflakes
anyway read all about it here (http://www.reuters.co.uk/newsPackageArticle.jhtml?type=topNews&storyID=515336§ion=news)

It's banned in Britain too BTW.
If you watch the ad you'll see that it's not really necessary.
There are a million and one ways to demonstrate someone making a choice.
If it were educational then there wouldn't be a problem.
If anything the people most likely to object are women who don't breast feed. They may feel that breast feeding was being depicted as the only correct choice.
Nothing to get your playtex in a twist over really.
If you want to see breasts buy the "Irish" Sun.
"The panel found themselves looking at something that was very difficult for them," he said. "The infant was contemplating the breasts in rather an adult way."
That has to be one of the funniest lines I've ever read.
See what Janet Jackson has started?

Nah the plastic surgen started it Janet Jackson only paid for it.
The advertisers job is to make the ad work free advertising is one way to get it to work, cause an uproar and everyone is talking about it. good example Eammon Dunphy he off the air and nobody cares. when he was mouthing off he'd get a mention here at least once a week. The person that came up with the add will get a massive bonus for the amout of inchs of press he'll/she'll get.

Think you're getting a bit excited there.
This ad was produced by the EC to get people voting.
It's not an ad for any consumer product per se.
theres a load of different images in the ad conor. it implies you make choices from early in life and keep on doing as you go through life.
Its only a tiny part of the ad. ive seen it a few times on euronews - i actually think its a good ad. it never struck me as in any way controversial until i read about it.
But whats daft is that you can see it on RTE1 and TG4 when they have Euronews on.
the ad isnt banned in britain they've just erased the nipple.

The paper I read in London yesterday must have been mistaken then.
Luckily I had you to put me straight.

The Sport does get it wrong occasionally... :)
