Might as well kick things off with my annual request for Dr Dre to release Detox, currently due for release in February: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Detox_(Dr._Dre_album (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Detox_%28Dr._Dre_album))

from Albums you're looking forward to in 2010: http://foot.ie/threads/128612-Albums-you-re-looking-forward-to-2010.

If Dr Dre would just release Detox, I'd be happy.

I'll just be happy if Dr Dre releases Detox
Think I remember saying that this time last year too!

Aren't Green Day due a new album?
Dr Dre's new album has been in the mix for while, I'd like for it to see the light of day

It's still no Duke Nukem forever.
;)

Looking forward to Mother Mothers new album this year and a new one from The Horrors. That's about it for now.

the lead single from Detox was released a few weeks ago, "Kush"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BuJDaOVz2qY

Common is due to release his next album, "The Believer", this year. "Be" and "Finding Forever" are fantastic albums, but I'm still undecided over his 2008 effort, "Universal Mind Control"

After a two year hiatus, Yellowcard are due to release "When You're Through Thinking, Say Yes" and will be on tour here with All Time Low in March. It might end up being the first time I go to a gig to see the support act, rather than the headliners! Check out their previous albums "Ocean Avenue" and "Paper Walls", although "Lights and Sounds" is a bit of a judgement call

I quite liked the Wombats first album "A Guide to Love Loss & Desperation" in a bonkers pop-punk "we're trying a little too hard to not be Sum 41" kind of way, their second album title "This Modern Glitch" is due out in April

Also, Sum 41 have a new album due in "early 2011" titled "Screaming Bloody Murder". I didn't know that until I checked their wiki entry just now after I wondered whatever happened to Sum 41

Looking forward to hearing new albums from:

Fleet Foxes
Queens of the Stone Age
Manics - (A working title of "70 songs of hatred and failure" suggests a return to something more akin to Holy Bible / JFPL ???)

Radiohead
Glasvegas
Noel Gallagher

Would like to add my annual if-I-may-make-so-bold suggestion to Mylo to get his thumb out of his hole.

Also, keen to see what Cornershop, Cut Copy, The Pains Of Being Pure At Heart, Elbow, The Go! Team and Santogold have in store for us, as well as the highly anticipated Strokes offering.

And, after a very MBV-ish two years or so, I believe the remastered Isn't Anything is finally due for release.
Again.

I'm getting older and I'm really looking forward to REM's new one. Some of the titles are great: "Me, Marlon Brando, Marlon Brando and I" and "Alligator Aviator Autopilot Antimatter" which is probably useless as it features Peaches.

Other's to look out for: Death Cab for Cutie's new one, Fleet Foxes.

I'd love to see Willy Mason get something out too.

Locally, Jane Bradford's new one is sounding good, hopefully they'll break away from being a Belfast only treat.

I've learned to lower my expectations when it comes to post-2000 Stipe and co. but I'll still be picking that one up as a matter of course.

In more recent times I've listened to early R.E.M albums - Murmur and Reckoning. Both excellent.

Anyone rate "Fables of the Reconstruction" as I'm considering heading for the Hat-trick. Anything post "Document" I've much less interest in.

Would love to see Detox out sometime this year. At least we have a single, a pretty good one too.

I feel dirty saying it but I will be interested in Lady Gaga's new album. Her last one was one of the best albums of 2009 and it was a million times better than her first.

Didn't think Beady Eye would be up to much but have to say I like their stuff so far, no doubt you're in for a treat live as well.

The album I'm most looking forward to in 2011 is The Strokes long overdue album which is being released in March I think. Clap Your Hands Say Yeah are back in the recording studio this week as well so can't wait for their new stuff, thought they might be finished when they went their separate ways to do solo stuff after "Some Loud Thunder". Hopeful of Babyshambles and Radiohead releasing new albums as well.

second single, not too bad but needs more listens before I decide

The first thing they put out on the net was like great balls of fire, but it is starting to grow on me. The first few times I had it on it sounded horrific!!! The next two songs were better. The roller (which is to be first proper single) is very solo Lennon.

Bring the Light not great
Four Letter Word is very good
The Roller quite good but very reminiscent of Instant Karma

Definitely looking forward to The Strokes new album - according to Nikolai Fraiture it's a return to the sound of the first album

Also looking forward to Glasvegas' new one, The Vaccines and if Coldplay release one

Not sure about being underrated, but for about 3-5 years in the 90's they were one of the biggest band's in the world.

Yeah - I'm not a big fan of the 90's / 00's stuff. The early stuff is great, though.

I like that new Strokes song - total Is This It? which makes me feel the album might be a bit straw clutching. But decent song nonetheless.

If no one has heard the new PJ Harvey album they should go do it soon as possible - it's just a little bit brilliant. Really enjoying the new Mogwai too, though I'm a big fan of pretty much everything they've done.
