Bit of a strange one this, and one I've only noticed lately.
When I'm typing, one of the keyboard shortcuts I use is ctrl+shift+left arrow to select an entire word at once, instead of using shift+left arrow to select one letter at a time.
However, when I'm typing a post here, and try to use the same shortcut, it doesn't work. Nothing at all happens actually, no letters are selected. I've the same problem composing a mail on gmail, but in other forums it works fine.
Just wondering if it's a known issue in firefox, or is it something else?

one of the keyboard shortcuts I use is ctrl+****
Fairly sure that can't be good for the keyboard for a start.

I meant "Hold down ctrl and shift and left arrow"

For what it's worth, in google Chrome, I can do the ctrl+shift+left/right, but not ctrl+shift+up/down. That's new since I changed over from IE.

Just tried it here and Gmail using FF, and it worked fine.
