work being done is 9 Steps of Terracing which will be able to take seats with a retaining wall. This is being started on the 26th May the day after the u21 game as the Planning permission runs out in July.

The Stand when finished will hold 4,000 people with services underneath the stand.Whether this includes a bar will depend on an agreement being reached with the Galway F.A.

The big problem in relation to finishing the stand is the Govt's stance in relation to capital grants to el clubs which have stalled due to some clubs uses of previous funding and the FAI's Supervision of same.

Congrats to all in Galway. It's great to see that Galway and Sligo are taking the lead in getting things right off the field. Anyone reading from Ballybofey? :o

The building has to commence before July as the planning permission will run out then.We have enough monet to get the first 9 steps of Terracing plus a retaining wall but after that we need grant aid or a significant cash donation from local businesses.

The grant situation is at a total standstill due to the misuse and flagrant disregard to the way rhey were spent by some clubs in collusion with the powers that be in the FAI.

When the stand is completed it will hold 4,000 nobody is saying were goin to put them on the first nine steps!!!!!!!!
