i meant to post this over the weekend but i wasn't near my pc for long enough...
saturday saw a man who is shows everything good there is about football, a true professional and a gentleman....
Dennis Irwin has given fans of oldham, man united and wolves many great moments and has won every trophy the game has to offer...he always worked hard and never in my knowledge put in a dirty or off the ball tackle...
for Ireland he was capped 56 times and each time he put on the green jersey i for one felt safe in the knowledge that such a dependable player was at the back for us.
he played 400 times in the premiership and i have never once heard anyone say a bad word about the man....
so i for one would like to say ( as a united & ireland fan ) thanks for all the great memories and good luck with whatever you do in the future, you will be missed...........
