With his three goals at Oriel Park this week, Colm 'Daz' Tresson has joined an élite group of Bray Wanderers players.

His hat-trick was both a natural and a so-called 'perfect' one, there being no other score on either side between the first and the third, and Colm scored with his left foot (11th minute), right foot (56th) and head (58).

Tresson won a record-making three-in-a-row Supporters Club Player of the Year awards in 1999, 2000 & 2001.

Only five other players had previously scored hat-tricks for the Seagulls:

John Ryan (v St Francis, FAI Cup Final 1990) had one of only two Cup Final tricks ever

Richie Parsons (v Monaghan, First Division 1995/6) was the first League triple since the club's entry in 1985

Barry O'Connor (v Monaghan, First Division 1999/2000) was the first to score three in a home tie

Jason Byrne (v Dundalk, Premier Division 2001/2) had the first of three tricks against the Lilywhites, and the club's first in the Premier

Eamon Zayed (v Dundalk, First Division 2003) banged in the fastest trio to date - eight minutes from first to last.
