No Irish channel showing the UEFA Cup Final. That is a disgrace! Although i suppose all those barstoolers who "support" their british teams wont care as there are none involved.

Imagine showing earlier rounds of a competition and then not showing the final

Seriously, it backs up my feelings that those who support premeiership teams and celtic of Glasgow have no interest in football. these are the same people then who are trying to compare LOI football with the english conference.

It's hardly the ordinary fans fault that the UEFA cup final isn't being shown by an irish station. The same way as it is hardly our fault that the EL isn't shown by Irish stations either.

So, I guess its a case of 'if it ain't British we won't watch' :DIt's certainly the case (minus the few exceptions on a pro rata basis similar to Britain) that 'if it ain't British we won't support the club.' Even leaving aside the Given and O'Brien interest, had Newcastle United knocked out Marseilles, I'd no doubt that the game would have been on TV. And that's Newcastle, whose main connection with Ireland was their fans being involved in a riot at a game against Bohs in the seventies.
