I see Packie Bonner is on the list to go. What was he? Technical Director or some such title.

Daily Mirror is reporting that Stan is licking his chops to return as next manager for the bargain price of a bag of jelly beans and an autographed LeBron James Jersey.

Of course the real tragedy here is the 5% pay cut for staff - that means John Delaney is going to have to take a €22,000 cut and survive on €418,000 pa :(
Isn't there something we can do? Maybe have a whip round or sack a FAI regional development officer?
Hang in there John....we are thinking of you in these difficult times.

Unfortunately decent and experienced football managers don't come cheap these days. Most of the players would probably be close to earning the same amount. I don't see any of them voluntarily taking a wage drop, do you? Thankfully, much of his salary is being paid by Denis O'Brien.

Its a fair point, not sure what the appearance money is for International games, I thought it was fairly modest by professional football salary standards but would be nice to see Robbie and Co. offer up something as well as their FAI colleagues.

I think it's around 5k a game per player.

Well there's 3 admin employees wages for a year covered, based on the squad offering up just one appearance fee!

Very good proposition Junior!! Would be a nice gesture from the players...and I'm sure they would be open to it if asked.

Last I heard (a few years ago) the appearance fee was €1500.
