He's the left winger that was released by Liverpool yeah? There's little in way of age between him and Treacy, who is better than him anyway, and with McGeady also still in the mix on that side, it's irrelevant I think.

Yeah but Tracey is a highly strung guy ..Stephen Ireland part two in the making. Mc Geady has yet to impress anyone after 30 odd caps

You are wrong, I am favourably impressed with McGeady and I am somebody.

Of course you're somebody Mister!

I've said it so many times, I love McGeady, and would give him a lot more credit than others would.

Also I liked the cut of Treacy's jib when he was the centre of a storm last month, with some of the comments released subsequently last week.

Newcastle, Blackpool and West Ham are supposedly interested in acquiring Hammill in January. Only 22 years old and a good prospect. The FAI should check him out!

Of course you are correct. Naming two existing squad members who play in similar position completely eradicates the need to look any further.

Haven't heard about him being eligible from any credible source. Not worth speculating about until such evidence arises.

Wasn't trying to be smart, didn't mean to offend you. Of course if he was eligible it wouldn't hurt to try him in a B International or friendly, just don't think he'll ever get close to what we have, that's all.

I think any credibility there disappears at the mention of the very inelligible Kevin Nolan - these papers probably use the inane gossip on this forum as the source for their 'facts' in any case.

"Nolan has been linked with a call-up to Mick McCarthy's squad because he qualifies through his grandfather."

Yes but he couldnt because his Irish connections were so remote (http://www.98fm.com/news-sport/sport/kevin-nolan-ireland-0510943/) he doesnt qualify even by FIFA's all-embracing eligibility rules. This despite the mass petition on behalf of the Irish population to make him wear the green shirt. Next petition topic is to make the earth circle round the moon...........

Transfer rumour mills talking about Hamill moving to Everton for about 2 million.

we've got to get this lad on board. Have been watching Wolves online (and Everton, Sunderland on TV). Hammill has been class. Doyle has worked very hard too and it was he who was involved in all their good work, getting an assist on their third. Go Wolves!

It's his first U21 call up even though he's 23. I doubt he will have much of a career with them. FAI should be doing a bit of work to get him here.

Watched him tonight for The Terriers v Blackpool. At least as good as McClean. Quick, good on the ball in terms of retaining possession in tricky situations, takes the set-pieces, rarely gives a shoddy pass, always looking for something on in terms of forward play, plays with a smile on his face and some nice tricks. Good player who, at this new start, should be given a go. (If he's eligible??....I believed he was?)
