Cookie on his ambitions of managing in England.
Hardly a surprise, but hopefully, with his new contract, we can get at least another season out of him.
after three and a half years in charge of the charmingly nicknamed Bit o’ Red, Cook is not ruling out a change of scenery. And he doesn’t just mean 90 minutes in Lithuania, or wherever their Europa League draw takes them.
“I want to come back to England and manage,” he admitted.
“Having said that I’d only do it if it was good for all parties. I’m very happy in Sligo and I love my club. I wouldn’t manage another League of Ireland team, that’s for sure.
“But on a personal level I want to improve myself and try to manage as high as I can. We all want to be the best that we can be and test ourselves.”
