Hard to pick really but (maybe biased n all) Johnny Speak and John Minnock Snr and Jnr really deserve a mention.
Georgie O'Callaghan on his day was a wonderful player, had he behaved in a professional manner all his career, Im sure most folk on here would have him in their 11.

In fairness he probably wouldn't have been playing in the LOI if he behaved and acted professionally, he would be at a far higher level

Richie Blackmore (Dundalk 1976 - 83)
Jackie Jameson (Pats & Bohs 70`s/80`s)
Blackmore also played for Galway United for a few seasons in the mid to late 1980's. He was the best keeper we ever had IMO.
Also, I never knew Jackie Jameson played for Pat's. He was an outstanding player. RIP

I couldn't pick a team - it's too difficult. One player I don't think has been mentioned, but I'd save a spot on the bench for is the audacious, troublesome, jaw-dropping, moody, sublime, ridiculous genius of Tony Sheridan. Probably the indulgence that would get me sacked, but I used to love watching him.

Sorry Marino but have to ask - in all your time watching LOI have you actually managed to see any teams from outside Dublin?
Second X1 (and to ensure I can travel the roads of Ireland - outside Dublin- in safety)
R Blackmore
Vaudiquin Gartland Murray Minnock
Mc Court Gamble Mc Nulty Cahill
Bradley Coyle

I presume your insurance policy for the Showgrounds is to insist you're including Beezer on the merit of his time with the Bit o' Red. :D

No Mick Neville? Best centre half I've seen in the league since 1985.
