Even today in the office one of the English guys I was talking to thought Ireland was part of the UK!!!!! He's quite correct, Ireland was part of the UK.
And unless Cowen or Lenihan can find another few billion Euros down the back of a sofa in Leinster House (or somewhere), it could be part of the UK again...:D
That's if we deign to have you back...:eek:

But its a thing you see a lot over here, some English people think like that.
Once even had an argument with a Welsh woman who insisted that she was correct in saying that Ireland is part of Britain and the fact that I was irish and telling her she was wrong made no difference at all to her

The Brits don't even want the 6 counties of Ireland now, they've been pointlessly subsidising for the last century, so they'd hardly want another 26.....
