The Derry report on extratime.ie says Mark Farren scored his 18th league goal on Saturday. I thought he only had 17. Anyone know which it is? Soccerbot is completely wrong. Graham Cummins missed a penalty so he finished on 18 and Willy John Kiely joined him on 18. Do play-off goals count towards top scorer? I think they did for Conan Byrne last year?? If so, a goal from WJK would see him finish top of the First Division chart unless Philly Hughes gets 4 or 5 tomorrow....in which case Golden Boots will be the least of my worries.

Playoffs usually count so WJK is the favorite at this moment in time

I don't think that site is much use since it has Waterford on 69 points after playing 34 games

Kiely, Cummins and Farren are 100% all tied on 18 league goals. I don't see how play-off goals would count towards the golden boot since those games are not regular season.

In all competitions Kiely is top of the First Division players on 21 goals with Cummins, Hughes and Farren all on 20 goals

I had a feeling that playoffs didn't count a few years back. Trevor Vaughan thought he had his 100th career goal in it but it ended up being the following season when he actually got it. Of course maybe that was because that playoff year counted for nothing.

Soccerbot says Kiely has 18,Cummins 17 and Farren 16.
All I can say for definite is that Cummins scored 18 league goals, had a golden chance to go clear from the spot last Saturday but fluffed it.

Airtricityleague.com say Kiely and Cummins have 18 and Farren 17.

Kiely didn't score tonight so it looks like a tie.

Mark has been listed joint TOP SCORER for the First Division this year

With Cummins (Cork- 18 goals in 32 games) and Kiely (Waterford- 18 goals in 31 games)

Mark scored 18 goals in 27 league games

Surely Mark is the GOLDEN BOOT winner for the FIRST DIVISION in 2010?

Thanks for clearing that up.

By the way, The Boss, are you signed up to playerhistory.com personally or is it work-related or something? I'd love to have access to the stats, but isn't it €40 per month? I presume you know it's set up and owned by Haakon Winther (formerly Johansson) who played with the Blues in 1996 and still keeps in touch.

If there was such an award, I'm sure he would be the winner.

As it is, he's joint top scorer
